Our History
When Michelle Tanner moved back to Spring Lake, MI in 2001 after a few year hiatus to Minnesota and Alabama, she noticed a lack of design and style in the industry as she searched for her own new home. The daughter of a fourth generation family custom home builder, Michelle saw a challenge that sparked her interest and she spent nine months researching and talking with subcontractors all over West Michigan. Finally satisfied with her team of subcontractors, Michelle Tanner Homes was founded in 2003 – a fifth generation family business specializing in custom homes with priority commitments to the highest level of customer service, sophisticated architecture, and quality custom features.
Our Mission
At Michelle Tanner Homes, we believe the building process should be an enjoyable one. Too often, due to a lack of builder communication, future homeowners become overwhelmed by all of the decisions that go into building a custom home. We strive to alleviate that stress by maintaining clear, open lines of communication, while still putting your decisions, wants, and goals for your new home first. When you build a Michelle Tanner Home, know that you’ll get exactly the dream home you’re looking for, in a way that’s comfortable, easy, and fun! You’ll never feel out of the loop or left behind, because it’s our priority to update our clients personally on a regular basis. Michelle Tanner herself is always on the job site, and she’ll be with you on every shopping trip to answer any tough technical questions and to help keep you on budget.
